Emancipation Information

Please note that emancipation only frees a minor from all parental control and grants some economic freedom (such as the right to own property, the right to enter into contract, and the right to live on one's own). Despite being declared responsible enough to live alone and to own property, the emancipated minor is still subject to restrictions based upon age (voting, etc). Keep this in mind if you wish to pursue emancipation.
