Behavior Modification
NOTE: Ravencall does not support, endorse, or recommend any residential treatment facility or behavior modification program as they are, in our opinion, far too dangerous. You will not find any information on our site about seeking residential treatment or any form of behavior modification. The following sites and reports are provided to educate and inform the public about the dangers many of these facilities pose, as well as providing resources and notice of legal representation opportunities to survivors and families of survivors of these facilities.
To the public visiting our site:
This issue is extremely disturbing in that any minor may be, at their parents request, literally abducted and taken to a "school" where the term "human rights" is non-existent. Many states also use programs such as these as a placement option following an encounter with the juvenile justice system, a practice that has unfortunately cost many children dearly. Please familiarize yourself with the following information as every teen, friend of a teen, and parent needs to be aware of what occurs in these places behind closed doors and what teens' rights are in regard to these facilities.
On August 25, 2006, the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS) was sued in Federal Court on charges of child abuse, fraud, breach of contract, assault, gross negligence, false imprisonment, and more. The press release is available here.
The Turley Law Firm is investigating additional claims. If you feel you were harmed or defrauded in any WWASPS facility, please contact the Turley Law Firm at 1-800-692-4025. The call is free.
